Table of Contents

Infection

If you have an infection of some kind, you may experience headache pain, particularly if the infection is in your sinuses, ears or throat. The infection causes pressure to build up, and that pressure produces pain. Even a common cold can lead to a headache, especially if you have a fever. Most cold medicine contains a pain reducer, but the best way to get rid of the headache is to get rid of the infection.

Dental Problems

A cavity does more than just make it hard to chew. It can lead to nerve pain and headaches. Taking care of your teeth can help prevent major problems, but dental emergencies can still occur. If you break a tooth, it is important to seek emergency dentistry Windsor Terrace so that you can prevent further damage to your teeth. Once your tooth is repaired, the associated headache will fade.

Allergies

The presence of allergens may make you feel ill. Even though you are not contagious, you may have many of the same symptoms as you have when you get a cold. Sinus pressure can lead to a dull throb in your head. If you cannot get away from the allergen that’s triggering your reaction, you may be able to alleviate the symptoms with medication or a gentle face massage.

A headache can point to a lot of different issues. You can take a pain reliever to erase the headache or, at the very least ease its severity. The best cure, however, is to get rid of the underlying cause.
